Hello sisterhood,
Has anyone been through genetic testing? My other half has 3 children that all have disability. Is there any testing he could undergo to determain if he is the cause/carrier of these children having the disabilities they have. If we ever go on to have a baby i would want to know the risk factors involved & where to go and who to consult before we go down this path.
*Please note this is not to say we wouldn't keep/love a child with a disability so no negative comments needed here* its just for preperation & knowledge as all the children he has produced have had high needs. Thanks!

Check out mackenziesmission.org.au for info on genetic testing. This beautiful and courageous couple are bringing this very topic out in the open.
Ask your GP for a referral. How much information and detail will depend on the specific disabilities involved.
Depends on the disability. Some yes others no.
I have 3 kids to my ex, our genetic mix didn’t work well all of our kids have ASD/ADHD.
ASD (Autism) isn’t picked up in genetic testing nor is ADHD
I had a baby to my husband and he is Neuro Typical and doesn’t show any of the same signs my older children presented with at his age.
If it’s a genetic condition your partner can be tested for it to see if he’s a carrier, you can also be tested to see if you are a carrier of a genetic condition. If it’s something like Autism/ADD/ADHD you won’t be able to test for it.
