My son is in his first year of high school. We just got his report and we’re very pleasantly surprised with his 6 As and 4 Bs. We want to reward him and continue with these rewards throughout his high school years as an extra motivation to continue to strive for greatness (2 reports per year).
We were thinking of money as a reward, $50 per A and $25 per B. He could potentially earn $1000 per year.
Does anyone have any other suggestions? We have no idea of other options etc
Thanks so much

Is it a real effort for him to get these grades? If not I would be hesitant about rewarding him. Do you have other children? Two of my kids can get A's for not really trying., my other two have to try really hard to get a C or a B. Just be careful it's something that will be fair for all your kids as they will remind you of it when they get to high school lol. I would be more inclined to reward effort, improvement, good behaviour, consistency so two A's for the same subject in the same year.
I agree. I reward the effort. I always say to the kids I don’t mind the grade as long as your effort is a 5 (top score).
