Sending hot food to school.

Sending hot food to school.

Hello! My 9yo son wants to take hot food to school but I've drawn a mental blank as to what I could pack for him! I'll be getting him a Thermos as they look the best so I'm presuming I just heat the food up and pop it in there?
I'm super paranoid about food poisoning haha so the thought of sending him with left over risotto for example terrifies me because he won't be heating it up and eating it straight away.
Any help for this lame mumma would be much appreciated haha!! ❤️

Hot dogs, pasta, soup, sausage rolls, fried rice are all wonderful in the thermos! :)

2 minute noodles, instant or canned soups/stews. My hubby takes hotdogs in his too. I'm a little dubious with leftovers so I opt for things high in preservatives lol.

I fully get your food poisoning paranoia haha, my whole family got super crook from dodgy subway once. I'd sooner just drop dead before dealing with that again 😂

Fill the Thermos with boiling water to heat it up, dry it out then put the food in there. It should be OK, I'm always eating half warm food and I'm fine 🧟‍♀️

Pretty much any leftovers and heated food is good 😊 Always heat the thermos up first for extended heating time. Fill with boiled water from the jug and sit for 5 mins. My daughter likes her hot leftovers too for school next day 😊
