Eczema? My teenage daughter has suddenly developed what looks like nasty eczema on her upper thighs. She has never had eczema before and we are not sure why she does now. I am thinking it may be from sitting her laptop on her lap during remote learning? She is no longer sitting with her laptop on her lap, but I was wondering what are the best possible treatments to clear it up, quickly? Any advice welcome, as she is quite self conscious about it.

Best to take her to your local pharmacy. You’ll have to go there to get the treatment anyway.
It could be a burn, it could be eczema, it could be a fungal infection.
Why would you not just go to her local doctor and get a proper answer?
Agree. This is not a forum for medical advice
What a harsh reply! We are living in the middle of a pandemic, perhaps she finds it hard to get out! The poster mentioned this is new, she hasn't had eczema before, and it is in the upper thigh area, perhaps her teenager isn't comfortable exposing her skin in the upper thigh area to a chemist.
Actually it's a really sensible suggestion.
Qv wash and moisturiser is what I use to manage my eczema. If it’s a flare up though it’s likely she would need a cortisone cream script from the dr
Does she use hair remover cream? I come out in a terrible rash in some parts when I use it, not everywhere though.
