Hi IM’s.
I guess what I’m here for is some reassurance. I’m currently 14 weeks pregnant and have just come from the doctors who have advised that my first trimester screening blood tests have come back with a ‘high risk’ for Down syndrome. I’ve been referred to the hospital for further testing which will hopefully happen within a week but I feel like I’m going to stress until those happen. Has anyone had their tests come back with similar before and everything turn out to be okay? My ultrasound for abnormalities came back as 100% fine.
Thanks in advance.

Not me personally but I know people who have been put through hell and the baby was born healthy. This has happened more than once. For me, I refused the testing and had 3 healthy babies.
I refused any of the testing as I would have my baby down syndrome or not.
I refused any testing it often comes back high risk when it’s not.
I had a 1 in 8 chance of ds. I had a whole team of doctors trying to explain what was going on. Had to book a council session in Melbourne and then have a test done cant remember the name of said test, (They stuck a rather large needle into the amniotic sack) test results came back 24 hours later. My beautiful daughter is almost 4 and no abnormalities at all.
