my kid is 10 years old.
child has a disability which makes them high medical/physical needs mental age around 1yo and non verbal.
childs biological father has never had her unsupervised, we split before child turned 1
we went through court 6 years ago when child was 4 and he didn't show up for it so I was granted full parental responsibility and he could only have supervised visitation due to his drug useand over time he stopped showing up for those as well. it's been about 2 years since he's seen child and before that it was very rare.
recent circumstances on his side have made me worried he's going to take me to court to see child again. due to menal disability child doesn't know who he is, and can't communicate if she wants to see him etc.
the question is, would a court rule to give him access after this long? even if he has changed (doubtful) I worry about childs safety given the extra needs. would this be taken into consideration?
if it comes to it I will talk to a lawyer but wanted some opinions or experiences if anyone has been through something similar.

Really, really unlikely.
If he does take you to court, he would most likely get supervised visitation again with the view to increase access over time.
Even in cases where a child doesn’t have complex needs the courts don’t hand over care of a child to an absentee parent like that. It’s a gradual process.
In your case you would have court records that prove he has a history of not doing the right thing so that goes in your favour even more.
He probably won't anyway but if he starts then don't respond, don't answer, let him eventually take it to court and it will eventually be seen and your child will be a teen and have much greater agency. You're in a good position right now and have every right to have nothing at all to do with him.
