Hello mummas,
I need to hear some real life experiences on this topic to give me some hope..
I'm 29 weeks pregnant with my third bub. I worked up until 39 weeks with the first two with little issues.
My work is very flexible and accommodating (Aldi store assistant) and I can switch tasks as I please to suit my needs but it's gotten to the point where I can't stand for more than a few minutes due to low blood pressure. Can't walk for long due to lower back and pelvis pain. Can't even sit as I have pain right underneath my tailbone. It's even painful to go from seated to standing.
At my last checkup the doctor said baby's head is very low in my pelvis. I'd just like to know if anyone's experienced the same issue as early as this and had it go away later on in pregnancy. Would love to keep working and thought perhaps I can use some sick leave and return to work when the pain is gone or tolerable. Or is this it??!!? Am I bed ridden for the next 12 weeks? Thanks mums

Hey, I went through very similar. My second was engaged quite early on and it was extremely painful and tiring. I had to give up my desk job at 32 weeks as it got to the point where I was in too much pain and my blood pressure was too much of a danger. I wasn't bed ridden however I did need to take things slowly and not overdo things. If you are claiming the paid parental leave though you need to have worked 10/12 months of the year, so if you went on leave now and had your baby at 40 weeks you wouldn't be eligible unless Centrelink had previously approved you for medical reasons which can be hard to get approved for. Hence why I finished at 32 weeks.
I just had my 3rd baby 8 weeks ago. I was exactly like this and just so uncomfortable. The midwives told me it was most likely ligement pain as I have had a couple kids. I was getting period pain like cramping as well. Mine didn't go away and I didn't have him until I was 40.5 w. Wishing you the best xx
