Wanting stories of babies born at 35wks, currently far from home with the threat of preterm labour. Being closely monitored I’ve had the 2 steroid injection. I presented to hospital almost a week ago and was transferred to a hospital that could take care of myself and Bub if I do go into labour. Just want to know how was the baby, how long did they have to stay in hospital, maybe info to put my mind at ease, also being away from my other children and partner isn’t helping, one very emotional mumma.

I had to have all my children 3 hours away with quick labours so I had to stay 6 weeks before my due date so I feel your pain, it's a horrible time to be away from home.
My eldest was 5 weeks early (hence staying 6 weeks before due date with others). He was born with a bit of fluid on his lungs which had to be drained but other than that he was fine, feeding tube for a while, they are quite sleepy and need to be woken for frequent feeds which is tiring but once they get to their full term date they are usually fine. We were in hospital for a total of 10 days. Best of luck to you and your little bub and I hope it all goes well!
Hey mama, mine have been preterm.
DD now 11yrs, was born at 32weeks, she was kept in special care for 3 weeks exactly, she had feeding tubes, and a c pap machine for a day.
DS now 22 months (I know crazy age gap) was born 36 weeks. He was kept in for 4 days… he couldn’t regulate his body temperature. Once he got that down they let us go home.
Everything will be ok mama… I know how hard it is being away from your other kids…
Good luck! U have got this!
