Hi, I would be very grateful to hear your experience if you have had a laparoscopic hysterectomy due to very large fibroids ( 13cm!) leaving the ovaries. I’m in my early 30’s so i feel way to young but I can’t live with it anymore. What was it like? Pain wise? Recovery? Tips? What to bring to hospital? ( in private if that makes a difference) Exercises to help? Aftercare? Any and all advice would be amazing!

Yep I had one at 30. I had extremely bad periods I'd also had CINIII with several surgeries which caused secondary infertility after a long exhusting road we got our rainbow baby and when he was a little over 1 had it done. First couple of days pain was bad but bearable I spent just under a week in hospital. I didn't have a great reaction to the morphine they gave me in recovery turns out I'm allergic.
Recovery the sooner your up and about the better but don't over do it listen to your body if it hurts have painkillers and rest don't lift anything and I'd refrain from hanging washing.
Nighties loose comfortable underwear I found pants to be irritating.
