I’m reaching out, this mumma loves to bake but after 12 years of giving it my best go , no matter what I do my cakes taste and look eh.
I love to make my kids birthday cakes, I put a lot of effort in , but the actual cake could be better.
Help a mother out.. if you bake .. have any tips, especially in regards to ingredients if that makes a difference and a recipe to share and even a photo to help me lift my game I’d love to read your comments.
I didn’t come from a family where mum or nanna taught me to sew or bake etc

Use oil instead of milk
I love to cook and am quite good at it, can't bake a cake to save myself.
Our birthday cakes are always shop ordered for this very reason 🤣
Just get coles/Woolies mud cakes, they have white ones if it’s a light coloured icing, then cut and stack and decorate however you want.
