Easing back into study

Easing back into study

Hi mums I'm in my early 30's with 3 beautiful children wanting to study Nursing.

I haven't done any study before and was never really any good at school and I'm scared to fail.

I guess my question is would I be better off starting with a cert 3 in Individual Support then go do the diploma then bachelor to build my way up and ease my way back into it?

I had not studied for 15 years. I did a university prep course at my chosen uni. Then straight into my bachelor. The prep course was well worth it, it really shows you what is expected of you, and it is a pathway into your Batchelor.

Thank you for the info. Did you find the prep course difficult. I'd probably like to complete it online as I still have a little one at home

I didn't find it difficult, it was exciting to start using my brain again that's for sure. It was all online. As is my Batchelor. I have 3 kids, I can work my study around home life. I highly recommend a prep course, it teaches you to write academically, what is expected in assignments etc. It sets you up to do well in your degree.

I was the same so I started with my cert 3 individual support.
2 years on and I haven't progressed to nursing I enjoy working in aged care too much and feel like that's where I can make the most difference.

I think don’t waste your time. Suss out the easiest subjects & do those first as practice.
