Anger child

Anger child

Hi Sisterhood.
I need some advice. I have a 10 year old boy who has an extremely bad anger issue. Anything can set him off, and he screams, yells abuse and slams doors. I'm worried he is going to escalate to hurting someone or breaking things.
Issue can be as simple as asking him to brush his teeth. His sister is very scared of him as well.
We are working with a psychologist, which as you can imagine takes time. We have a few things (like jumping on the spot) that works sometimes. We have also started taking him for a drive until he calms down so his sister isn't effected.
Does anyone have any other tips they found useful to help a child regulate their emotions and anger?
Thanks

My 12 yo was this. He's 30 today and still a vile, violent piece of shit. I hope for your sake he grows out of it and doesn't become what he's portraying. My husband and i raised eight kids and only one of them turned violent young, as his life went on. No amount of help worked. I hope I'm wrong in your case. Definitely get him help as soon as it's available, even if it's another trusted male family member whom he respects until you can get a system look in. Have you tried the school counsellor? They're usually available pretty quickly .

He is only like this at home. Not ever at school. We have him seeing a psychologist fortnightly. I really hope it helps

Hasnt the psychologist given you strategies?
They are a professional and know him better than us.

Things like jumping on the spot. She is working with him to help but it's all trial and error.
