Son’s hairy problem

Son’s hairy problem

Hello beautiful Mums. My 18 year old son has very dark hairy legs. He has started work as an apprentice carpenter and only wears shorts. He has asked me what can he do about his legs as he says they are hairier than any one else he knows and he is now being a bit paranoid about them. I really don’t know what to suggest. I had not noticed until he told me his concerns. Any ideas?

Anything that women do. It's really common for men to get waxed now, find a beautician that will do men. If he's not comfortable with that then try hair removal cream. Shaving really hairy legs can be really messy and tedious as the hair just keeps jamming the razor and they don't work that well. Could try an electric razor too.

As the first person responded, it’s the same options that are available to women. I’d probably go for waxing. It’s becoming quite common for men to get hair removal

I would tell him that this is him and there is nothing wrong with it . I’ve never noticed a man’s hairy legs. The only thing I would really notice is a hairy back or massive mono brow or hair overflowing out of a man’s shirt.even then, not fazed, we are all unique and different from everyone else. I Never look at the legs like that, men are meant to have hairy legs I say. Teach him that it’s his body, it’s how he was made and to embrace it, not be embarrassed by it. My young daughter has hairy arms, blonde but hairy. I never took any notice until She said all the kids ask her at school, why are they so hairy. I have told her that this is her unique self, there is nothing wrong with it and I wouldn’t even notice. I tell her to that she has been give this amazing life and who she is and embrace it.Love who you are. As long as we are healthy then nothing else matters.

I deleted my first comment, I shouldn't have put my 2 cents in on your opinion and it wasn't needed.

What about Laser hair removal?? Not sure if someone with more experience could comment but my limited understanding is that he could then choose the number of treatments. My man is very hairy and I think he's gorgeous but I understand if it's really negatively affecting his self-esteem x
