Sydney aquarium

Hey all,
So I've been looking at taking the kids to the aquarium in Sydney and can I say HOLEY HELL the price is crazy!!! Taking the kids to the aquarium is going to be close to a $1000 over night trip.
I'm not a tight arse by any means but does anyone know of deals, where to stay ect to make it a bit more reasonable?
Thanks everyone!

Wow that’s crazy! You could take them on a flight to melb or Gold Coast with a nights Acom for that. Nothing is affordable for families or anyone these days. I feel for everyone that is trying to create memories with their kids and just live day by day. The costs of everything is huge.

While I love the aquarium it’s not something I’d travel to see on its own. It’s just not viable. I’d make it part of a bigger holiday to stay in Sydney. Everything is expensive in Sydney.
Unless you can travel see it and return home the same day it’s going to cost.

Try staying somewhere that's within an hour of Sydney..I grew up on Central Coast we would just do day trips to Sydney to see that kind of stuff. Could probably get a couple of nights to see more.

So my kids literally ran through the Aquarium- I think we were pretty much done within an hour. It’s a long way to come only for that. I’m saying that there is lots to do in Sydney. Many free museums etc

I love to stay at the Meriton Suites Pitt Street or World Square. We stayed last week for $680 for 2 nights in a two bedroom suite. Kids loved the pool and spa added bonus. They also accepted 5 x parents vouchers from the Gov. which took $250 off 🥳

There’s a aSydney attraction pass, google search for it, it includes the aquarium, Madame Tussaud’s wax museum (which is a lot of fun!) the wildlife zoo there and also the Tower Eye which my kids loved too. A fun day and affordable.
