Work from home

Work from home

Hi IMs

I am stuck in a physically demanding job and I think I will have to leave. Problem is, I can't afford to. But it's having an impact on my physical and mental health. I also have a additional needs child at home.

Does anyone have any ideas of work I could do from home such as data entry? I'm not interested in selling stuff like Avon etc.

Thanks sisters!

If you search on Seek now they have a work from home category - there are quite a few dedicated WFH and hybrid roles being advertised now.

Might not be an option, but in case it is and you haven't considered it.. any promotions coming up? Sometimes it's the better option if where you are offers permanent employment over casual.
I studied to leave my physically demanding permanent job, finished the course, lined up a new job and was then offered more money to stay here moving into an office based operations role.

I have worked in our business that is run from home for many years.
Its not as flexible/easy as it sounds.
It has been great to juggle work/kids but you never do just one thing.
I feel like school holidays I take kids places and have phone strapped to my head.
At least in a work environment you are at home or at work.
You have to be very regimented to allocate time otherwise work and home will want your attention all at the same time all day.

My kids are very used to it, its how they have grown up, other kids don’t realise work needs to be done, you will sort what ever it is in a sec.

Get ready for the tut tuts when out in public by the amazing mums who need to have an opinion

Alot of call centres are now WFH or hybrid, this is what I do, I left a very physically demanding job for the banking sector. It's not all roses, but it makes work/home life better and more manageable.and I get much better pay now. If you have worked in customer service check the banks job advertisements.
