Hubby and I are wanting to conceive but I haven't ovulated, that I know of, or had a period since conceiving our 13 month old. Our child is still breastfeeding and it's our priority to continue to breastfeed for another 6 months. I realise breastfeeding can often act as a contraception, and have also spoken to my GP who told me to just wait or stop breastfeeding.
I'm wondering if mother nature knows of any loopholes or hacks to welcome back my period/ovulation.
Our child feeds 3000 times a night and once or twice during the day and I have been very unsuccessful in trying to drop some night feeds lol.
Thanks ladies

There isn’t a hack.
And it sounds like your body isn’t ready yet. If you are feeding one baby many times throughout the night, chances are you will end up feeding two babies throughout the night.
It doesn’t sound like your first child is ready for a sibling yet.
Your Dr is right. Some rely on breastfeeding as protection and get pregnant. Just depends on your body. Looks like it’s working well for you. You have to decide what you want. Can you express milk for a few weeks - month and see if that helps. I know it’s not the same but there isn’t much else you can do apart from wait it out. I had mine close together and loved it. Wouldn’t have changed a thing.
