Very sensitive scalp - what could it be and how to treat?

I have psoriasis/dandruff at the moment. Just lately, my scalp has become really sensitive and sore. It hurts to brush and I’m having to massage my scalp alot. How have others treated this? Would it even be from psoriasis or something else? I don’t tie my hair up tight or anything? I’ve never had a sensitive scalp and I’m fretting a little if I should be more concerned?

Try the blue bottle Nizoral to clear up the scalp. I make mine worse by scratching it until it bleeds :(
Use it everytime you wash for a few washes. If it's going to work it'll work pretty fast, once it's clearing up you can back off and use it as needed. I'm down to using it about once a month.

Could your Scalp be sunburnt? Even with hair, some people's scalps are highly sensitive to the sun.

Perhaps a nurtional deficiency. There are links to psoriasis with low vitamin D, B12 and omega-3.

Go get it checked by your GP. They will be able to recommend what to use that hopefully won’t make it worse.

My daughter has this. We found that she is intolerant to harsh chemicals and any fragrance in shampoo and conditioner. Even “derma-logically tested” or “recommended by a dermatologist” had harsh things in it! We now use Biologika sensitive.
