Clothes

Hi sisterhood, I am really needing to purchase some new winter clothes but I am on a really tight budget. I was wondering if anyone could suggest and websites that have come across. I don’t often buy myself new things so I don’t know where to start.

Check out the iconic, they often have some good sale and afterpay. If not try some local op shops in your area. You can find some great bargains.

OP shops are great for staple pieces. My local vinnies often has Levi jeans for like $7 a pair, last time I went they had a rack of puffer coats, knitwear etc. I got my 5 year old an almost new pair of Nike air Max shoes for $12 once too.
The trick with Op shops is persistence, go regularly and really give yourself time to dig through the racks.

Check the Facebook marketplace as well, I often sell my unworn clothes there for nothing over $10 (a last ditch attempt to make up for wasted dollars lol).

Otherwise I shop at Kmart, Big W and Best and Less, Target when they have sales. Ally usually has on trend stuff reasonably priced but I don't find the quality too hot.

I have shopped on Shein and Boohoo. Very hit and miss, some stuff has been awesome, some the sizing was way off or the quality was shit or the cut was just bizarre.

Make sure any online retailer has a generous and simple returns policy or it can end up costing you more than it would've done to just invest in one or two quality pieces.

I’d go to op shops for knit jumpers, cardis and maybe even flannos. Also look at jackets because you’ll save a fortune if you find one.
I’d buy Kmart singlets and tights, socks and winter pjs and plain tees.
And I like target for better quality and fitting but well priced clothing, they have awesome boots too, last year my work mates and I got the best priced wool jackets and blazers from there.

I'm so over OP shops, I used to love them but they are too expensive now. It is such a rort. Yes I know it's a charity but that's exactly why their prices annoy me, they should be helping people on a low income.

I'm not fussy with clothes so I buy from Kmart, I have looked at Shein though and think their clothes look great but haven't ordered anything from there yet.

Kmart, Big W, Best & Less are my go-to's.
Trackies, leggings, long sleeve tees, hoodies, winter weight dresses etc are all regular items bought out for the change of season.
The rest of the time I keep an eye out for bargains. Like the Rockmans $20 sale where everything in store is $20 including jeans and jackets.

Definitely SHEIN. I know a lot of ppl don't like them but the clothes are very affordable and comfy. My only recommendation is to size up from your usual size
