On the nose...

Hi IMs,

A bit of an personal question... I have a pre-teen son who is active with various sports and loves to run around at school.

Unfortunately despite using like Lynx and Rexona anti-perspirant deodorants, he has BO so bad, especially after school. He showers every day and I always remind him to scrub, especially his arm pits etc etc

Is there something well, stronger than Lynx and Rexona that has been proven to work?

I don't want to keep telling him he smells lol (I don't put him down or anything! just remind him to use deodorant etc etc) but I seriously have to put my window down when he's in the car after school/sport!!

Get him to scrub with a loofah and maybe try some antibacterial soap just once or twice a week, can’t be used to often. I also get my teen son to put it on straight after his shower and then put more on before he leaves for school or get him to do it every 6 hours or so. He seems to be better now. I think it’s the age too.

Have you tried Rexona Clinical?

Lynx is a body spray not a deodorant. I'm always reminding my 15 year old that his Lynx/Tradie sprays etc are basically perfume to be used WITH deodorant, not instead of lol.
Your son could probably do with a clinical protection deodorant, the Mitcham ones are pretty good.

What's his diet like? I've noticed my son smells particularly teenagery when he's been eating/drinking a lot of shit. I can quite literally smell when he's snuck off to the servo to buy 2 Monster energy drinks instead of actual food from the tuckshop 😂

Make sure he's washing himself properly too. Face, pits and privates, hair, all get washed with the appropriate products daily!

Black chicken axilla paste, or no pong. These are pastes you rub on….. you get used to it. But 100% you do not smell!!!!! He will still sweat but u won’t smell! And best part, all natural! No nasty chemicals. Don’t get the bi carb free ones tho, they don’t work, get the original ones. You’ll find them at most health food shops.

Is he drinking enough water? That would help a lot too.
