Recently widowed, seeking friends, still finding joy where I can but am in a new town! LOVE MEEEE

I’m a funny, empathetic, kind person. Left-leaning politically/socially with overtures of extremely dark and sometimes inappropriate humour. Getting into cooking and gardening as I get older but also love a pub dance or karaoke sesh. I have lived in many places in my life and have good friends and a small circle of extremely close friends who live in different states in Australia but who call/text/visit. However… several months ago I moved close to Tamworth in regional NSW with my long term partner and our child. We had been loving it here but my partner sadly passed away just after we moved here, so I am now struggling to find people to be local friends with since it’s harder for me to leave my child as she has some attachment issues at the moment (understandable) and isn’t too comfortable being babysat by family members. I am 44,
my child is 8, I work, I own a home, I’m low maintenance and love a coffee or a cocktail or to go see live music or a show. Love a playground play date as well. My question is: is there someone/some people/a group of excellent women who might be willing to fold me up into their group or perhaps someone who is new to town or similar to me that can meet up sometime? My workmates have been lovely but they’re mostly family men in their 20’s so we don’t have much in common!
