Hi sisterhood....
So here goes....
I have 2 children under 5 (one being rather recent, 2 months old) and I'm definitely waaay heavier than I would like.
I'm 92kg and 5'2. My goal weight would be in the late 60's to early 70's (and I would still be classed as overweight lol) anyway how do you mama's get rid of the weight? Pre children I could drop a few kgs in a week by pretty much doing nothing but I feel after children it's so much harder to shift the weight and you feel hungier. What has helped you? What hasn't? How do you not get defeated? How do you make sure you stay on track?
My body is really starting to effect my relationship (from me not partner) - I need the lights off, I hate his hands going exploring and as soon as I feel a jiggle I honestly want to vomit. I have talked openly about this with my partner and he's assured me I still do it for him. I just don't do it for myself anymore....
I am starting to feel a little pressure from partner about weight (think it's all in my head tbh) but I said something along the lines of it's gross I'm the biggest person you've been with and he said something like he's over the skinny that's why he's with me now (ouch) but also after I had the baby and I dropped 12kg in 2 weeks he grabbed my waist and praised how skinny I have gotten and almost seemed excited. So even though he is supportive and tells me he doesn't care I feel deep down he would love me to be skinny but doesn't want to hurt my feelings. This stuff is really starting to take up way to much space in my head and life and I don't want it getting any unhealthier than it has so please any advice on what to do! Also money is tight so stuff like PT or food programs are definitely not in reach.

You need to be in a Calorie deficit. Don't go above 20g a day in carbs/ sugars. Eat 80% fat, 20% protein. My husband is a Chef and used to weigh 161kg. He now weighs 92 since eating this way. I joined him and went from 90kg to 57kg.
5 yrs on, we have both maintained our weight and still eat ketogenic. Neither of us did any weights/ gym work/ exercise. We just burn energies in our jobs.
Calorie count and exercising is the only way I've been able to lose weight.
Weight Watchers is about $40/mth online and provides the tools and support to identify how much you're eating, how much/ what you should be eating, activity support, mental health support and a great online chat group. I've got lots of impacts in my life, but you just build the plan/day to suit you. I've been a Life Time Member since loosing the baby weight after #2 (27 years ago), but fallen off the wagon many times. Been on it again this year and 10kgs down. Slow but better off than on ;)
