What was the most memorable/useful or your favourite gift you received at your baby shower?
Trying to think of something different to get my sister for hers.

New born photo shoot voucher
Pregnancy massage voucher
If she needs something for the bub and is finding pregnancy easy I'd ask her what she wants.
Otherwise, something for her. Maternity clothes voucher, massage, manicure, post natal exercise DVD.
Outside of that, what are her mum fantasies? My favourite gifts related to things I imagined motherhood to be like. Such as cute cookie cutters, a birthday cake cookbook, cake decorating stuff etc. I'm not a great cook (at all) but I wanted to be that mum. So I can't cooks, but I can now bake decent birthday cakes etc and I love it
Personally I avoid the following:
*Lotions, creams, powders, soaps etc. Most of it is completely unnecessary and won't get used.
*Disposable nappies. As much as I appreciated the gesture, I ended up with tons of nappies that either got outgrown too quickly or leaked or caused irritation.
*Manicure sets. I literally ended up with like 6 unopened sets lol.
*Cute outfits - self explanatory lol.
Things I find practical:
* A feeding pillow! I didn't even breast feed but a feeding pillow is worth it's weight in gold. Babies get heavy quite quickly, so it's always good to have that support for your shoulders, elbows, back and belly.
* Stretchy zip up onsies in a variety of sizes (but avoid new born).
* Modern cloth nappies. You can even get ones now that grow with baby (that I'd probably discuss with mum to be beforehand though).
* A decent cup holder for the stroller. Life changing!
* Dummies/pacifiers. They're relatively inexpensive and get lost so often!
* Wash cloths. I specifically love the Dimples ones from Big W because they're small and dry really quickly, I had hundreds of those ones. So useful!
Things for mum:
*Travel mug - so she can enjoy her drinks hot!
* Insulated drink bottle so she's hydrated!
* A light wrap or robe and some comfy, sturdy slippers.
* A gift card for new post baby bras!
When I had my daughter, I was so greatful for everything I got, but at the same time, I wish some one got "me" something rather then the baby. So when my step sister had her daughter, I got her vouchers to her favourite clothing stores. One thing I struggled with after my daughter, was buying new clothes that fit.
The best thing I got was a 20oz Yeti brand tumbler...I can make a coffee that will actually stay hot for ages now!
I loved all of my baby gifts but the one that I remember was a gift voucher to my preferred hair salon to get my hair done before baby was born
