The traction and replies given on some if these questions in here, the anonymous part, compared to Facebook is quite strange. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me?

Do you mean the number of replies, and the kinds of answers given? I'm not sure what you mean.
But, the number of replies is simple - the question posts show up on FB feeds - they come to you. Here, you have to think to click on the site - you have to come to them.
The types of replies, well, here it's anonymous. FB is not. Most people don't put their true experiences and opinions if everyone knows you wrote them. Those can bite you. These can't.
I find the vibe of the website quite hostile now, I actually avoid responding here for the most part because I just can't be bothered with what always seems to turn into a shit slinging match over a difference of opinion.
The Facebook responses generally seem to be more thoughtful, respectful and directly relevant to the OP with less back and forth arguing in the comment. I suspect that has something to do with the fact people are more mindful of their online behaviour when they don't have an anonymous shield to hide behind.
There's a reason elections, referendums, census surveys in workplaces etc are anonymous. People are more honest with anonymity. Their are people that just enjoy a fight everywhere though and these forums are no different
I rarely comment on anything on Facebook because I don't want my fb friends seeing. I do comment on posts on the website and I admit that I speak my mind more because its anonymous but I always try and be respectful and not rude. I disagree with some comments sometimes and that can cause an argument but it is good to see different opinions and the reasons behind those opinions that can come out while debating.
The issue sometimes is we often know the posters story, the background, and they write in, without mentioning any of it hoping to get the comments they want. The people on FB don't know any of it, but we do and comment accordingly.
A current example is the post this isn't what love should feel like. She could work, but refuses to and has been blitching about step kids (and treats them not the best) and partner for years. We know she wont help herself or stand on her own two feet and I think her partner is probably burnt out with all her ups and downs and doing it all.
Who's we? Are you suggesting there are a group of people who can see who the accounts are behind the anonymous, and that you are one of those people, and you're keeping score of each one and essentially trying to gate-keep?
I don't need to see their names to know.
There has been a lot of posts I've seen where someone starts going on about a previous post and the OP knows nothing about it. It's risky to assume.
You don't need to see their names? What about the others you spoke for? One of you would have to have access to account holder names to even suggest that you and them know who the person is behind an anonymous comment.
"We" was me assuming there are other women on here that are as perceptive as me and can recognise the same old stories, told in a different way, to get the responses they want.
I don't know their actual names, but I know "their story" and their writing style.
Such black and white thinking, do you ever read between the lines?
I wrote the "traction" comment on here and I post questions every so often, can you tell me what my story is? Genuinely interested to see if im recognisable haha.
i need to see a post with a problem and there's only a small number of ppl whose story is pretty obvious.
I see traction as a car word, when going 4x4ing on the beach. Let your tyres down for more traction. I know what traction means, I just find it a strange word in this context. I blame influencers lol.
You'll be right, mate lol
