What is the youngest age possible for a child to drop out of school in qld? School is just not the place for him! He hates it and is struggling with every aspect of it. He is only just 13.
When can he pull out of school? Qld

16. Right now he is too young to go to work, study at Tafe or get an apprenticeship so its really not a good idea to pull out this young or he will just be doing nothing as the alternative. Talk to the school about alternatives for him, he might be better going to an alternative learning centre or making the school day shorter for him. If you make an appointment with them and discuss what is going on (they probably already know?) then they need to work with you and him and come up with a plan moving forward. Talk to him about what he wants to do when he's older and look at what is needed to get that. You can't get very far without finishing year 10 these days. I would also look at any factors that might be contributing to him not wanting to go like lack of sleep, bad influences, learning difficulties and focusing on those things.
Look into homeschool or distance education. I can highly recommend Jubilee Christian college
17 is the youngest he can leave all types of Education. From 16 or end of year 10 he must be earning or learning.
School isn't for everyone. Have a look at homeschooling. There is a facebook group Home Education QLD that is a fantastic place for help and resources. They were a great help to me when I had to change to homeschooling at short notice for my son. It's a learning curve but the best thing we ever did.
