My dd 16 is terrified of driving on the Kuranda Range. She works herself up when we go on a trip;- vomiting , diarrhea. We are going on a trip down south soon. We are flying. I want to be prepared but make it as comfortable for her. Is there anything we can do to calm her down for the trip? Anything natural or medicinal?

Does she do it on any trip or only on the Kuranda range?
Honestly, I don't blame her. There's constant accidents, agressive/impatient drivers or weather events that close it often because it becomes unsafe. I get anxiety if I ever have to drive it. Talk to gp, maybe you can give her a valium.
Phenergan antihistamines from the chemist can be used for travel sickness and anxiety.
I don't have a short term answer, but maybe for this pending deadline, you could go down the Rex, Gillies or Palmerston?
