Budget Xmas Gifts for Grandparents

Budget Xmas Gifts for Grandparents

Ok so Christmas is sneaking up on us again and our budget is shot! Looking for suggestions of low-cost gifts the kids and I can make for the grandparents (kids are 3 and 5).

Previous years we have done photo calendars from BigW, large frames (from the Reject Shop) with their paintings as a background and photos on top. I'm a bit stuck for ideas this year and budget is even tighter than usual so any ideas appreciated :)

What about baking some cookies, cakes, shortbread or similar? You could include some of their favourite tea or coffee.

my kids made these little pictures out of coloured cardboard (which was actually paint colour example paper squares from bunnings) and some sand from the beach. Glue was the only thing that I had to pay for and that was $1.50 :)
I was thinking of this year making some lavender potpourri. other years I have made bath bombs, herb salt seasoning, lemon honey and homemade christmas tree decorations. get on PINTEREST too there is heaps of ideas on there :)

I have two boys 6 months and 3 years. Grandma and two aunties are big tea drinkers so my idea this year is to make home made tea bags. I'm just going to buy tea bag sleeves that are meant for loose leaf tea, but you can also make tea bags out of coffee filters (tutorials online or pinterest).
There are lots of tea recipes online and I will be going to the health shop or spice shop to see what loose dried herbs they have and we will pick out the ones we like and mix up our own blend.
Pop them into the filters, attach a string and label :-)
Easy, fun, and thoughtful!
Last year i made lemon squash and found a fancy bottle that we had laying around which grandma loved. We found an easy recipe online and used lemons from a friends tree.

Ask the kids to make Christmas decorations for the grandparents? A special kids story book 'My favourite things about Nan / Granddad etc' with pictured drawn by the kids. Get it laminated and bound?

A nice pot plant with photos of the kids clipped to the leaves or something?

Flowers with hand drawn and coloured flowers by the kids mixed in - you could put photos of the kids in the centre of their drawn flowers?
