helping a dear family friend

hi, im not sure if I can ask this here but I am looking for some fundraising ideas/support. My husband has a friend whom has been incredibly good to our family. He has helped us in times of need, he always puts the needs of others first, never has a bad word to say and always has a bright smile on his face. I have recently met his wife and she is as wonderful as he. The problem is these dear peopple have a father whom has suffered a premature stroke and is now unable to communicate. There is a treatment called the Embra needle, currently administered in the US, and they are desperately trying to raise $30,000 to get him there. I feel compelled to help in any way I can. These people deserve all the help than anyone can provide and I have been desperately trying to raise funds/donations/goods that will help..but im running out of ideas. does anyone know of anything I can try? I have done the usual sharing of the facebook page ( 'A Gift for Gus' ...shameless plug..please like and share to anyone you know who may be able to help) etc etc but I'm now coming up short and would hate to see this beautiful family struggle for a long time to help their father.
