LEGAL ADVICE NEEDED, I girls,
I need some advices, my partner and I are moving interstate, his daughter wants to come with us immediately, we stated we would like her to finish the school year and see where she feels more comfortable, but she is adamant she wants to come as she is not happy at her mothers house. the only issue is the legality of the situation. does anyone have any experience with this? we want her to come, but her mum can get really nasty and doesn't want my partner involved in the first place.
please help. we expect to go to mediation, but I don't know how long that would take. and I don't want my step daughter to be hurt during this process..

Please don't ask legal advice on here. I've seen women give their version of the law and it is completely false!! My whole family are lawyers but even i wont give you advice because i dont know the circumstances of your case. There are alot of different things the courts with consider in makong a decision
Please go see a family lawyer, it will cost a couple hundred but you will get facts
Agree with above even more so because it's inregards to relocation definetly get legal advice.
Yep, agree get legal advice from a lawyer
does anyone have any idea on a GOOD family lawyer in Gippsland vic?
Im not sure having the conversation with the daughter should have happened before finding out if it was legally impossible.
Mediation can take months to even get an appt! Unless the mother agrees you probably will have to wait until mediation and then court case is heard - months up to a year or more. If she is over 12yrs old she will have a say
