losing weight on very minimal budget with 2 mind numbingly fussy eaters!

Hi IMs

I would love to lose quite a lot of weight but every time I try I get so overwhelmed by how expensive healthy food is! I'm a single non working mum of 2 (2yo n 3yo) n no car so I can only get my food from woollies or Coles. I have a few debts from my marriage I'm still paying off n they're both in day care 2 days a week, which leaves me the bare minimum to buy food for the fortnight with! my kids flat out refuse to eat just about anything!! incl sausages, nuggets, pasta, rice, eggs, chicken, mince, steak.. on my dads grave I swear you name it they will NOT! eat it!! makes me so angry n gives me more reason to post pone losing weight cause I'll just have to spend more money on them for them to actually eat! :/ I'm a total loss n I can barely stomach looking at myself in the mirror. any help would be extremely appreciated!!
TIA

loosing weight does not have to be expensive. You just need to make sure your protein is about the size of the palm of your hand (and don't fry it or cover it in bread crumbs) and fill your plate with steamed vegies or garden salad (with a bit of balsamic vinegar). Avoid the prepackaged meals for yourself and it wont cost much. I cook separate meals for my son to myself and live on a carers pension. I only shop in coles and woollies as I get my shopping delivered.

Hi there, so I went vegan about 4 months ago and iv lost 8 kilos so far, my daughter was very fussy when it came to vegies she is 2 ... It was a hard month at the start but I starved her into eating vegies, she woke 7-8 times a night and tantrums all day, she now eats raw broccoli and celery for snacks rice and pasta filled with steamed vegies , fruit, dried fruit lots of juices and smoothies
It is NOT more expensive to eat healthy!!!! It's cheaper!!! But more time consuming if you meal plan (so vegies never go off) it's so much cheaper , even when I ate meat if I only are fruit vegies and meat my grocery bill was cheap, I don't buy drink as water is free I don't buy biscuits snacks are fruit only. You need to clean yours and their taste buds- it's hard but can be done by cutting all things processed- you will find as months go by you won't won't the shit "food"
Lead by example they will eventually eat (and my child is so strong willed it's painfull she had days she literally are half a banana) if there is one fruit or vegie they like let then have as much as tey want and go from there :)

I bought the Margie Cummins (from Biggest Loser) Rockbottom Plan for $16.95. Its really amazing....eating normal every day food and it enables you to become a part of the Rockbottom group on Facebook! Best $16.95 I have ever spent!
