Hi Ladies, I've been seeing so many posts about women wanting to relocate with their children. I am currently in this situation myself looking to a better lifestyle and future not only for my child but myself where i am now i struggle to make ends meet being a single parent.
My fiance has moved innerstate for 2.5 years on contract and we had the all clear from my ex to move with my daughter, offering him more time in bulk with school holidays ect also with a promise of return after contract since he has back peddled we are living out of suitcases and our belongings now in another state.
Mediation was today with no result other than.. I stay where I am for his convenience, I run with her and try and get an application to stay in preferred state with the possibilty of a recovery order put through by him for our return or take his only offer before court, that our daughter stays with him and i can go. I understand a child needs both parents in their life I have been very fair with my offerings. My daughter has been In my care her whole life nearing five years with my ex having her every second weekend. I guess my question is has anyone been successful in being able to relocate with court and not had it dragged out over years or made this journey without their children taking the other side of the deal and handing over the reins? I feel like a prisoner to a man i am no longer in a relationship with..

get it into court. being as he agreed and then changed his mind (it wouldve been better to get it signed on paper as soon as he agreed) should go against him, particularly with the situation he left you in. I was living in a tent for 6 months waiting for my court orders but its worth it. get the applications moving.
