Hoping to get peoples opinions.
I will hopefully be finishing my bachelor of teaching (early childhood) first semester next year. My husband and I have a little who will be 1 in the next couple of weeks and we are thinking about trying for our second around April-June next year.
My plan is to have an amazing family day care up and running by the time we do have a second baby so that we aren't paying for 2 lots of childcare (we live next to a primary school so I think it's a great spot to set one up). But I also had a thought of studying something like a beauty course so I could do this on the side, offering treatments to parents etc and maybe weekends here and there do weddings and things, and make us a little extra money to have fun with/spend on family time/trips etc.
But I'm not sure if it would be worth me spending the money/time on extra study especially if it's not something that other mums would be interested in taking advantage of or find convenient.........
So I guess I'm asking - mums out there do you think its a good idea or would it be something you would take advantage of?

If you are running a family daycare, you will need time off on the weekends. You will want to be spending time with your kids, enjoying having nobody else in your house, and spending time with your partner. Daycare is hard bloody work, and can be long hours.
Don't do it, everyone needs a balance in life and although getting ahead is admirable it's not worth the sacrifice of exhaustion, lack of family time etc. because you will be surprised running a daycare how it eats into quality time with your kids.
i think the daycare is a great idea. I'm not trying to be harsh but I feel like the beauty idea not so much.. I personally prefer to go to a salon to get my waxing, facials, nails etc mostly because of the professionalism they represent. I wouldn't feel comfortable going into someone back room for intimate treatments.
