This is going to be long and I'm sorry.
My partner and I currently have a daughter together after suffering numerous losses (I have a rare genetic disorder which can be fatal). Anyway, we are lucky enough to be pregnant again, however I am an emotional wreck. We find out on Monday the sex of the baby which will help determine whether the pregnancy will continue or not. If they think it isn't going to survive, I will have more testing next Wed & will take minimum 2 weeks for the results.
Anyway, I have come down to stay with my parents (6hrs from our home) as my partner is currently at a course & we don't have anybody to look after our daughter whilst he is away (we normally work alternate shifts). Hence I have taken some leave (which I have no problem doing). All the testing had to be done here anyway so it made sense.
Anyway getting to the point, my partner has a sports grandfinal this weekend (6hrs away). I am wondering whether I should be getting in the car & driving? Or getting on a plane & taking our daughter too it? She is only young and a lottle sick, but I feel extremely guilty if I don't go.
I will only see him late Fri night, then for maybe an hour after the game (he will be celebrating with his mates etc) and it isn't really an environment for a baby.
I know this isn't a big deal. And maybe because I'm so stressed & emotional I am thinking about it wayyy much!
What should I do? What would you do? Give it to me straight, because I'm clearly not thinking right.
Ps. I thought he would prefer if I didn't go as then he can have the whole weekend with his mates & not feel the pressure to come home? Maybe I'm just jealous he can do all these things, whilst I'm hiding away in a ball waiting to see what the future holds.

No I wouldn't be going! I'm sure he doesn't expect you to go either. Ring him to say good luck. He is a big boy now and will understand :)
Plus what a waist of money!
I don't think you need to go :) it sounds like you're already under a lot of stress so I think you should stay home and rest. I'm sure your partner will understand.
Maybe you could even do something little for yourself, go get a fresh new hair cut or something?
All the best for next week!
