Pregnancy after miscarriage

Pregnancy after miscarriage

I recently found out that I miscarried a baby after trying for 6 months to get pregnant (I know this isn't a very long time compared to some, but my first daughter was a surprise, so for it not to happen straight away was a bit of a shock). I was absolutely devastated to say the least, and I'm still heartbroken that I won't get to meet this baby.
I would still love a second child but I'm terrified it might happen again. So I guess I'm just wanting to hear from ladies that have miscarried and got pregnant again and how long it took. My daughter will be 3 soon and the age gap is just getting bigger and bigger :(

I had a stillborn, and had my next son 2yrs 5mths later who had a cleft palate & lip. Then had a daughter 2yrs 11mths later then my last daughter 18mths after that.

it is very hard not to worry once you fall pregnant again but is very do-able. Hugs to you

I know this sounds simple, but don't worry about the age gap. It's just a number and there is a 4 year age gap between me and my sibling and 3 year age gap between me and my other. I get on great with both of them they don't get on with each other though :) so having them close guarantees nothing.
I have heaps of friends who have had a miscarriage and gone on to have a healthy happy baby not that long after. I think it's natural to feel nervous about it though.
Anyway you've already said 6 months isn't long. Give yourself some time to grieve and then get back on the horse :)

I too wrote in asking a very similar question after I miscarried in September after trying for 6 months too (which feels like forever when you have conceived so easily before) only to find out in January I was pregnant again am only almost 10 weeks but an ultrasound yesterday found a strong heartbeat so I am thinking all things positive. Hang in there, I know it seems like it will never happen but it will x

With my first two children I had them within 11months apart... I then went on to have 3 miscarriages, after the 3rd miscarriage I said that's it and we were going on to be happy with the two children we had... Nek minute (literally) pregnant and had our 3rd.... (3 and half years age gap to youngest at time) Miscarriages are a sign of something not right with the baby, that's how I saw it! If there's a baby in your spirit there will be another baby in time... Most likely when you at least expect it.. Good luck mumma
